Days in univ….
Hi, guys ^^ I probably won’t add those super-cute emoticons in this post. Adding those images really take some times. Anyway, I’ll re-tell a bit about my five-first-days in univ for my friends who don’t understand Indonesian.
*flashback*
I’ve been really sleepy everyday because I have to wake up around 4 or 5 am everyday. It’s a disaster, because I slept at 1am. No, I’m not going home THAT late. I usually went home around 4 to 6 o’clock (pm). After that, I’ll be really hungry and tired, so I ate and got some sleep. I woke up after some few hours sleep and took a bath. Turned on the computer, write some things in my blog, turned it off again, watched tv and then slept. Let me tell you, this kind of sleep (just like what I do), doesn’t help you to get rid of your sleepiness. I’ve been doing it for years. Believe me! If you can take a normal rest or sleep, cherish it! Sleep is one of the best bless a human can ever get!
My first day was bad. I had to wait and wait and wait again for one or more hours between events. Morning devotion was being held everyday because the univ that I entered is based on Christian. My lunch is pretty messed up since I’m a vegetarian, and in my first day I forgot to bring my lunch. They made something for me though, but still, home-made is always better than anything else, lol XD There’s a faculty event. My lecturers told us about how hard the situation could be in my department, Communication Visual Design (Graphic Design) since there’ll be lots, lots, and LOTS of tasks that’ll be given to us. Be lazy and you’re death! You will never passed!
To be honest, I’m a lazy person. So I’m pretty freak out about it. There’re also some seminars and… hey, my Univ President is from US! There’re some competitions, cheap-food festival (which is not cheap at all, I mean, there’s this cookie, it’s about 500 rupiahs. It’s cheap. But the seller will only sell it to you if you’re minimal buy 10 of them. Damn. Some foods are even not cheap at all! It’s really, really expensive. I hate expensive foods =_= Well… I can’t tell as much as I say in Indonesian. But that’s the general things that I did :]

Since it’s my first week, most of the lecturers only introduce themselves and told us the tools/equipments/books that we’ll need in our class. I have a task (that’s been given in my first day), a paper task. It should’ve be easy, but I’m so frustrated about it. I still haven’t get use to my new environment. I feel scary, anxious, and nervous about it. I come to the library everyday (you’ll surprise if you know me, I DO read books, but it’s for entertainment. But these books are lesson books, things that I will never touch if I don’t really need it.. I must get use to it now..), I’m trying to finish my task around 5 or 4 days before it should be collected (this is not depict me at all, I usually do my task one day before it should be collected, I’m screaming around and sleep really late or not sleep at all ^^;), I’m still working on it right now. All books in the library are written in English (at least most of them, so far, I only find one books that’s written in Indonesian). English books are bad. My English isn’t THAT good. Reading those books and make a paper out of it is hard enough. There’re so many words there. Arrgggghhh!
Well…what else should I tell???….
There’s wifi connection in my univ. I have a macbook from the univ and the wifi for my department will be activated on July 31st ^^ It means I could download more and save my-home-bandwidth a lot!!! Yay!! There’re also some computers that’s connected to the internet around the campus for example in the library or food court/junction. The coolest lecturer so far is my art appreciation lecturer. You could say that he’s still young, maybe around 33 or 34 I guess. He’s using slang-Indonesian to talk with us. I think he’s really great!!! He told us that he didn’t like obedient student. When he told us to speak up, we should be brave and speak up! We could call him anything, uncle, bro, brur (slang-Indonesian), even his own name, but if you call him with Sir, he’ll punch you, lol XD You could sit, sleep, whatever in his class as long as what he teaches you could be filled into your brain. He plans to open our head, throwing away all garbage from our brain, fill it with new and useful things! Yo!! Cool! XD There’ll be lots of theories and paper tasks with him and he doesn’t like simple mistakes in using Indonesian, for example misplacing coma, etc, so he suggests us to read newspapers – as many as we can – if we can’t use the right Indonesian, lol XD He’s right, you know. Even Indonesian sometimes can be wrong in using the right Indonesian ^^;
Well… I think it’s long enough for now.
I still have to continue my task, plan to finish it today. So, see you guys ^^ Pray for me ^^

ara Yuki, sounds like we have the same course (except mine is called ‘Visual Communication’ =.=’) yeah, they really punish lazy people… and the pressure is a bit much, but hey it helps one improve.
Ja, good luck on your first day!
